1. About Plugwell and these terms
Plugwell is the trading name used for the online gadget and electronics store at plugwellshop.com. The store is operated by SOFTSHORE TECHNOLOGY LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15384424.
Registered office:128 City Road
London
United Kingdom
EC1V 2NX
Email: info@plugwellshop.com
Telephone: +1 647 913 1372
In these terms, “Plugwell”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean SOFTSHORE TECHNOLOGY LTD. “You” means the customer or website user. These terms explain website use and purchases of physical products for personal use. Any business or resale purchase should be agreed with us separately.
Please read these terms before ordering and keep a copy. Our Shipping Policy and Refund and Returns Policy provide further order information. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. No policy or term limits consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. If our policies conflict on a consumer right, the applicable law prevails.
2. Ordering and account information
You must be at least 18, or place an order through a parent or guardian who can enter into the contract. Provide accurate contact, delivery and payment information and use only a payment method you are authorized to use.
If you create an account, keep its credentials secure and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorized use. You may order without creating an account where guest checkout is available.
Check your selected product, model, colour, plug type, size, quantity, delivery address and compatibility before paying. Contact us promptly if you need a correction. We will try to help, but changes may not be possible once an order is dispatched. Your statutory cancellation rights remain available where applicable.
3. When an order is accepted
Product listings invite you to place an order. Submitting an order is your offer to buy. An automated order receipt acknowledges the order but does not, by itself, confirm acceptance. We accept your order when we send a dispatch confirmation, unless we expressly confirm acceptance earlier. For separately dispatched goods, acceptance applies to the goods identified in that confirmation.
Before acceptance, we may decline an order for a genuine reason, including unavailability, an unresolved pricing error, failed payment authorization, reasonable fraud concerns or delivery restrictions. We will notify you and promptly refund payments for goods we cannot supply. We will not substitute a materially different product without your agreement. After acceptance, we will not change the agreed product or price without your consent.
4. Product descriptions and compatibility
We aim to describe products accurately. Images illustrate the listed product; screens and lighting can affect colour appearance. This does not excuse a material difference from the description or the supply of incorrect goods. Only accessories expressly included in the listing form part of the purchase.
Compatibility, voltage, charging protocols, plug type, dimensions, app requirements and included adapters vary by model. Check the specification for your selected variant. If a listing does not clearly answer a compatibility question, contact us before ordering. We remain responsible for the accuracy of descriptions and compatibility statements we provide.
References to third-party brands identify the product or its stated compatibility. They do not imply an affiliation, endorsement, authorized-dealer relationship or manufacturer certification unless expressly stated and supported. Products are new unless the listing clearly identifies another condition.
5. Prices, currencies and payment
The checkout identifies your payment currency and total before you commit to buy. Applicable sales taxes and delivery charges collected by us will be included in the displayed total. Currency conversion and charges applied independently by your bank or payment provider are governed by your agreement with that provider.
Where customs duties, import taxes or clearance charges may be payable separately, the relevant responsibility and charges, or the basis on which they are calculated if a precise amount is unavailable, will be disclosed before purchase. We will not impose an undisclosed charge after acceptance.
If we discover a price error before accepting an order, we will explain it and allow you to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund. We will not automatically charge a higher price. Prices may change for future orders; changes do not retrospectively alter accepted orders.
Available payment methods are shown at checkout. Discount codes and promotions are subject to the conditions disclosed with the offer, including any expiry, minimum spend or exclusions. A discount does not reduce statutory consumer rights.
6. Fulfillment and delivery
We use third-party suppliers, fulfillment partners and carriers. Some products are dispatched directly from suppliers outside the United Kingdom. The registered office is not a representation that products are stocked or dispatched there. Relevant dispatch origin, delivery arrangements, processing time and delivery estimates will be provided before purchase. Orders containing several products may arrive in separate parcels.
Although a supplier or carrier may handle the parcel, your sales contract is with SOFTSHORE TECHNOLOGY LTD. We remain your contact for fulfillment issues, complaints and applicable consumer remedies.
We deliver to the address agreed in the order. Tell us promptly about an address error or missing delivery. We will investigate carrier delays, missing parcels and damaged deliveries. A carrier marking an order “delivered” does not, by itself, remove your right to challenge a missing delivery.
For UK consumer orders, unless a different period is agreed before purchase, we will deliver without undue delay and within 30 days. If delivery is late, your legal remedies may include setting an additional reasonable deadline or ending the contract immediately where an essential delivery date was agreed or the law otherwise permits. We will refund sums due if you lawfully end the contract.
Goods normally remain at our risk until you, or someone you nominate other than the carrier, physically receives them. A different rule may apply if you independently appoint a carrier we did not offer. Ownership passes when we have received full payment and the goods have been delivered.
7. UK consumers: your right to cancel
For most goods bought online, UK consumers may cancel without giving a reason until 14 days after the day they, or their nominated recipient, receive the goods. If one order is delivered in separate consignments, the period normally runs from receipt of the last item or consignment.
To cancel, email info@plugwellshop.com or write to our registered office with a clear statement of your decision. Include enough information to identify the order. You may use the optional cancellation form below, but you do not have to. Cancellation does not depend on our prior approval.
Send the goods back within 14 days after notifying us. Contact us for return instructions and the correct destination. You bear direct change-of-mind return postage only where we informed you of that responsibility before purchase. Any overseas return requirement and material additional return expense will be disclosed before purchase. We bear reasonable return costs for faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods where required by law.
You may inspect goods as you would reasonably do in a shop. We may make a lawful deduction for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. Opening ordinary packaging alone does not automatically remove cancellation rights.
For a valid cancellation, we refund the amount due, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. Extra paid for premium delivery need not be refunded. Refunds use the original payment method unless otherwise expressly agreed, without a refund fee. We refund within 14 days of cancellation, but may withhold reimbursement until we receive the goods or evidence of their return, whichever occurs first, unless we offered to collect them.
Exceptions apply only where the law permits, such as genuinely personalized goods or sealed goods unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed. We will identify applicable exclusions before purchase. There is no general cancellation exclusion simply because an item is an electronic gadget, a sale item or shipped by a third-party supplier.
8. Our additional 30-day returns offer
Our published Refund and Returns Policy also offers a 30-day return-request period from receipt. The policy’s conditions for voluntary change-of-mind returns, including unused condition and original packaging, apply only to the additional offer where they do not restrict statutory rights. These conditions do not prevent reasonable inspection under statutory cancellation rights or a valid claim concerning faulty or misdescribed goods.
A request for return instructions does not require you to waive your legal rights. Please do not assume the registered office is the parcel-return facility. We will supply the correct return instructions without obstructing a valid return or cancellation.
9. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods
Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for a purpose made known to us and as described. Contact us if an item arrives damaged, is incorrect or develops a fault. Your order number, photographs or a short video may help us investigate, but we will not impose unreasonable evidence requirements or insist that you deal only with an overseas supplier.
For UK consumers, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 provides remedies that may include a short-term right to reject non-conforming goods within 30 days, repair or replacement, and a price reduction or final rejection where the statutory conditions apply. The appropriate remedy depends on the circumstances. For other customers, mandatory local protections continue to apply.
Please report delivery problems promptly so we can investigate. Any request to report damage within a short period is not a deadline that removes statutory rights. A manufacturer’s warranty, if supplied, is additional to those rights; its expiry does not automatically end our legal responsibilities.
10. Safe use, batteries and connected products
Read the instructions, safety warnings and age guidance before use. Use compatible power supplies and charging equipment, observe the rated voltage and keep batteries away from heat or misuse. Stop using a product if it appears damaged, overheats abnormally or presents a safety risk, and contact us. Arrange professional installation where specified.
For connected gadgets, check the supported operating systems, wireless standards, app requirements and any stated support period. Internet, mobile-data or third-party subscription costs are payable only under the terms you separately accept. Any essential paid service or subscription requirement will be disclosed before purchase.
Third-party apps and networks are provided by their respective operators, but we remain responsible for our product descriptions and obligations imposed by law. Where applicable law requires necessary software or security updates, we will meet those obligations. Nothing in this section excludes remedies where a product fails to perform as described.
11. Website use and intellectual property
You may use the website lawfully to browse, obtain information and purchase products. Do not introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with checkout or other users, submit fraudulent orders or copy protected content for commercial exploitation without permission.
Website branding, original text and other protected content belong to us or their respective rights holders. Product and manufacturer names remain the property of their owners. You may save or print information for personal use and retain your order records.
12. Reviews and customer submissions
Reviews and other submissions must reflect genuine experience and must not be unlawful, defamatory, misleading or infringe another person’s rights. You retain ownership of your original content and give us a non-exclusive permission to display, format and reproduce it for the purpose for which you submitted it, including displaying a product review on our store.
We may moderate unlawful, irrelevant, fraudulent or abusive content. We will not fabricate reviews or change their meaning to mislead customers. If an incentive is offered for a review, it will not be conditional on positive feedback and will be disclosed where required.
13. Shopify, third-party services and privacy
Our store uses Shopify’s ecommerce platform and may use payment, delivery and other service providers. Shopify provides the platform; SOFTSHORE TECHNOLOGY LTD is the seller under your purchase contract. Separate terms may apply when you independently use a third-party service.
We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. Account creation or purchase does not, by itself, constitute consent to optional marketing where consent is required. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information through contact forms or product reviews.
14. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to exercise reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or your statutory rights concerning goods and digital content.
Products under these consumer terms are supplied for personal use. We are not responsible for losses relating to a trade or business use that we have not agreed to supply. This does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If an event outside our reasonable control affects an order, we will notify you and take reasonable steps to reduce its effect. Such an event does not automatically remove your cancellation, refund or other legal rights. We do not promise that website access will be uninterrupted, but we will not use website availability issues to deny obligations under an accepted order.
15. Complaints and disputes
Please send complaints to info@plugwellshop.com, identifying your order and the resolution you seek. You may also write to the registered office. We will consider the complaint fairly and respond without undue delay. We do not require you to use paid arbitration or give up access to courts or statutory remedies.
16. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. This choice does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections under the law of their habitual residence where those protections apply. You may bring proceedings in any court available to you under applicable consumer jurisdiction rules; this clause does not require a consumer to sue exclusively in England.
The terms in force when you place an order apply to that order. We may update these terms for future purchases and website use by publishing a revised version and date. We will not retrospectively change an accepted order without agreement or a legal requirement.
If a provision is unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue so far as the law allows. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. No transfer of our rights or obligations will reduce your consumer rights. Mandatory law prevails over any inconsistent provision.
17. Optional cancellation form
Complete and send this only if you wish to cancel a contract. An email or another clear cancellation statement is also sufficient.
